Bridgestone, one of the largest tire manufacturers, is developing and close to releasing a device that can check the tire pressure wirelessly. This wireless tire pressure monitoring system uses sensors, planted under the tire rim, that send tire pressure and temperature information to a handheld device. When the system detects high or low tire pressure, a 1.5 second alarm goes off. However, the handheld device has a short range and the user will need to walk up to each wheel to get readings. Also, the system can only be used while the vehicle is stopped.
This handheld device will be particularly helpful in tire blowout cases that lead to almost 414 deaths and 10,275 injuries per year in the US, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Inflation records are very important in these accident cases. The handheld device can store up to 1080 tire pressure readings from almost 90 vehicles.

This is what I need on my three piece wheels, since they leak air all the time.
