Stampede Rocker Panel

A Stampede Rocker panel is an important component found under the passenger compartment. This is one of the low-priced auto parts, so vehicle owners never hesitate to stock rocker panels for replacement in case your factory-installed rocker panels become damaged. Always check your vehicle's body panels to avoid wrecking the appearance and driving dynamics of your vehicle. Installation of new rocker panels often requires welding. Sometimes, this may depend on the type of body panel features of your vehicle. Welding is not a simple job, so do not get into this task if you are not very capable of doing it so.

Surfaces of the panel must be thoroughly cleaned to carry out a successful welding. After welding, the old rocker panel is being cut. A grinder with a cutting disc is preferable to cut the sloped area of the old rocker panel. Be sure not to cut into the outrigger, which is needed for the attachment of the new one. Remove the rocker that is left behind, sticking on the surface. Such removal will provide a flat base for the new rocker panel. Cutting of the upper portion of the rocker depends on the shape of the new rocker panel. The panels with a U-shaped rubber seal channel needs a part of the old panel to remain in place so that cutting will vary.

Your rocker panel must be kept from chipping, rust, and dirt. Thus, a panel guard is very much needed for its protection. Panel guards are needed especially if the car is used for off-road driving especially on extremely rough terrains.
