Information about the oxygen content is quickly sent to the engine computer by the sensor so the mixture control solenoid can normalize it before it gets to the engine. For the SNG oxygen sensor to work properly and efficiently, it must be checked on a frequent basis. Failing sensors are not capable of distributing information effectively, and your vehicle would wind up stalling, with defective fuel and air content readings.
