Performance Friction refers to the brand and the company that specializes in the manufacture of high performance disc brake pads, made from carbon metallic and Z-rated materials. This company was founded in 1953 but its original name was Bur-Bilt Products. The company initially specialized in the rebuilding of clutches and relining brake shoes. It started small but gradually became a major automotive company that became a supplier for other companies. The company was only incorporated in 1979.
