Energy Suspension Tie Rod End
The tie rod end is a flexible coupling found in the steering linkage which is used to connect the tie rods to the steering knuckles. Some tie rod ends should be greased periodically, specifically twice every year or every 6,000 miles. But some tie rod ends are sealed. A worn out or loose tie rod will definitely cause an uneven wear pattern on the tires and it is one of the main causes for the rapid wearing of the tires. A worn out tie rod end can be seen by raising the suspension and rocking the front wheels forward and backward. If free play is felt, most probably there is something wrong with the tie rod ends. The toe alignment of the vehicle must be reset once the old tie rods are replaced with new ones.
