LOS ANGELES (March 2009) – Centric Parts, a leading manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket brake components and systems for everyday cars, performance duty vehicles and ultra performance vehicles, has been named 2008 Branded Vendor of the Year by Automotive Parts Associates (APA), a leading member-owned cooperative representing over a billion dollars of purchasing power annually.
“Centric Parts views our long relationship with APA as a partnership,” said Jamie Fiffles, Centic Parts’ Vice President of Sales, Special Markets, during an award ceremony in Phoenix as part of APA’s annual gathering. “Centric Parts gets strong support from APA’s membership and in return we utilize our Right Part, Right Place, Right Time philosophy and wide geographic support to give them a competitive advantage they can use.
This is the second time Centric Parts has earned the honor, having also claimed the title in 2006. APA gives out this award annually to the company with the highest-quality sales force, efficient order fill process, great cataloging and quality products. In particular, Centric Parts was recognized for high order fills, quick turnaround times, being first to market with late model applications, providing and supporting innovative new products, low rate of warranty claims, and exceptional sales and technical support.
APA was originally formed in Kansas City in 1973 as an advertising program for 35 independent jobbers purchasing from a local warehouse distributor. APA became a member owner cooperative in 1994. Today, Automotive Parts Associates has grown from under 10 warehouses to approaching 200 warehouse locations with more than 350 company owned stores. APA member distribution centers offer a wide assortment of national brand product lines as well as a substantial line of “Professionals' Choice” brand products.

Posiquiet Brake Pads
PosiQuiet brake friction features either precision cut or shaved backing plates and mechanically attached shims; these small details ensure proper fitment in the caliper and virtually eliminate noise associated with pad vibration. In addition to these features Centric Parts has added a scorching process to all of its PosiQuiet brake pads. This additional process forces any impurities out of the friction material and pre-burnishes the pads to greatly accelerate the break-in process.

Street Performance Brake Friction
StopTech Street Performance brake Pads are engineered to meet the
demands of high performance driving situations while maintaining their ability to work in normal driving conditions. StopTech brake pads combine the benefits of premium street brake pads with aggressive friction formulas suitable for track day and autocross use. Para-Aramid composites deliver optimum stopping performance over a wide temperature range and are specially formulated to deliver linear response in both cold and hot conditions. All StopTech Brake pads are 100% positive molded and include OE designed shims to eliminate noise associated with brake pad vibration. In addition each StopTech brake pad is scorched to remove any impurities in the friction material. While this does not eliminate the need to bed-in new pads it does provide improved stopping power right out of the box.
Original Equipment Brake Pads
Centric Parts carries a complete line of Original Equipment brake pads. We source all O.E. friction from leading suppliers including Sumitomo, Nissin, Textar, Pagid, DanBlock and Jurid. Each pad is manufactured utilizing O.E. processes and materials.

Centric Premium Brake Disc
Centric premium rotors feature a double disc ground, taper free finish. Double disc grinding ensures parallelism, eliminates run out and provides near perfect disc thickness variation (DTV). Double disc grinding leaves a non-directional finish on the friction surface area for more effective pad-rotor break in. This special finish also provides quieter and smoother stops.
