Bestop Windows
Bestop is a recognized manufacturer of soft and hard tops as well as automotive accessories for jeeps, pickup trucks and SUVs. Bestop windows are some of the many aftermarket accessories that the company offers for different types and models of vehicles. There are Bestop windows for jeeps, pickup trucks and SUVs. Bestop windows are available in laminated glass or flexi-glass. Both the laminated glass and flexi-glass versions are shatter proof. Being shatter proof does not necessarily mean that the windows will not be broken. Bestop windows can still be broken if enough impact force is applied. However, the glass pieces will not shatter. When broken, the window pieces will be held together by the lamination material.
 
Flexi-glass is entirely made from flexible plastic material. On the other hand, laminated glass is actually glass held together by plastic laminate. Flexi glass has the advantage of greater resistance against impacts. However, it is not very resistant to extreme heat. Extreme heat may cause it to be deformed. A deformed flexi-glass window is disadvantageous. Looking through it is like viewing the world through a prescription eye glass. Looking through a deformed flexi-glass could be dizzying. Laminated glass, on the other hand, has the advantage of being resistant to extreme heat. It does not easily get deformed even when exposed to the sun's heat for prolonged period of time.
 
Bestop windows are available in many configurations. However, there are only five basic window configurations available. These window configurations are the right side front passenger window, the driver side window, the right side rear passenger window, the left side rear passenger window, and the back window. Windows protect the living compartment of the vehicle from the elements such as wind, rain and snow. Windows seal the living compartment so that the internal climate can be regulated.
