AEM Fuel Rail
Today's fuel rail technology distributes fuel evenly to each injector providing a consistent mass of fuel to each combustion cylinder at constant pressure. One particular fuel rail is from AEM. Its unique design optimizes fuel delivery, hot fuel handling, evaporative emissions, packaging, weight, calibration time, idle stability and NVH requirements. The AEM fuel rail is essentially a pipe that transports fuel evenly to each injector providing a consistent mass of fuel to each combustion cylinder at constant pressure and flow rate from the fuel's chassis lines to the fuel injectors.
 
The fuel rail also aid in maintaining the position of the injectors that likewise aid in proper spray pattern of the fuel to the intake valve. It is deliberately designed to have a pocket or seat for each injector as well as an inlet for a fuel supply. In some cases, fuel pressure regulator is incorporated to a fuel rail. Instead of a fuel rail however, some engines with multi point fuel injection system alternatively make use of fuel distributor with individual pipes or tubes to feed each injector. Made to be tough, each AEM high volume fuel rail is CNC machined from 6061 T-billet aluminum and feature a ½ inch fuel bore capacitated to flow enough fuel to support most high-performance engines.
 
The huge bore also dampens the back pulse produced by oversized injectors in high output applications. It works well with your stock injectors and includes an extra port for the installation of nitrous set-up or external fuel pressure gauge. To accept either -6 or -8 line or a custom fitting allowed for the use of the stock fuel hose, the ends of the fuel rail are purposively tapped.
