The hardtop of the Skyliner can be folded to the rear deck lid by means of the intricate mechanism attached to it. But there was a drawback about this feature. Once it folds down, most of the space in the rear or truck gets covered up. Furthermore, the mechanism for retracting the top is usually inclined to malfunction. These disadvantages made buyers hesitate to take it on which is probably why its production only went on for three years.

This vehicle is also somewhat heavy weighing 4,409 pounds. But in terms of performance it can also delver goof road operation. Its power comes from the 352 cubic inch V-8 engine. During that time, the 300 hp horsepower it produced is already very competitive when compared to the models existing by then.
