The Vortec 6000 became even more powerful in 2001; horsepower ballooned up to 320 and torque to 360 pound-feet. A new big-block Vortec 8100 (8.1-liter) V8 with 340 horsepower and 455 lb-ft also joined the power engine lineup.

For its latest offering, there are two trims available, the 1500 and the 2500 both available in two-wheel and four-wheel drives. Many minor modifications have been done such as tweaking in fuel consumption for economy, better suspensions and a host of others just to make driving performance better and luxury features accessible. There’s just no mistaking about it, the ‘Burb is as a good friend as any, anyone can recognize it a mile away.
