The Audi TT was introduced as a concept car in 1995. Three years after, a production model was launched and it was based on A4’s shorter platform version. The first model was a front drive coupe while the next year’s model was a roadster, offered with a Quattro all-wheel drive. Audi TT’s unique styling makes it stand out in a parking lot. Although its roofline resembles the VW’s new Beetle, the Audi TT finds no real rivals in the coupe or roadster market. Proof to its excellent performance features and great styling, it has been nominated for the North American Car of the Year in 2000. It also belongs to Car and Driver magazine’s ten best cars in 2000 and 2001.

For the 2005 year model, Audi offers a coupe and a roaster, each with three engine configurations. The engine line up includes a 130/ 180-hp 1.8 T turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 184/ 250-hp 3.2 L V6 engine. The 225-hp 1.8 Coupe and Roaster engine has two intercooled turbos that yield to 225 horsepower. Both vehicle types are offered in front-wheel and all-wheel drive. Front wheel drives are equipped with traction control to make up for the quattro’s added capabilities. Reinforcing Audi TT’s performance parts are sporty 17-inch 6-spoke cast alloy wheels with high performance tires and high-intensity Xenon headlamps with automatic adjustment.
