With only 40 units crafted in its first year of production in 1959, Saab 95 proved to be a pride for Saab with its versatility and distinct style. The Saab 95 is a two door station wagon with seven seating capacity. It is actually based on the Saab 96 sedan platform. The Saab 95 is equipped with the three cylinder two stroke engine with 841 cc capacity. Later in 1967, the four stroke Ford V4 engine was used backed up with a four speed manual transmission. In 1976, the seating capacity was reduced to five since the rear facing folding seat was removed. The last model rolled off its production plant in 1978. All in all, 110, 527 Saab 95 units were produced. There is also the Saab 9-5 but it is actually different from the Saab 95. So, the other one must not be confused from the other. The Saab 9-5 is an executive auto produced in 1997 as replacement for the Saab 9000. Aero is also used as the Saab 9-5 brand name.
