The Executive and the Catalina have relatively similar mechanical specifications particularly regarding the powerplant. Both of them make use of similar standard and optional V8 engine. Initial powerplant for the Executive is the base 400 cubic inches V8 engine having two-barrel carburetor to produce 265 horsepower.
