Diamante’s second generation was launched in Japan in January 1995. It was offered with several engine options. This new range of Diamante topped off with a 3.0-liter engine producing 270 horsepower. In Australia, the new Diamante was again released in 1997 and the very first 1997 Diamante goes out of the company’s assembly line on July 1, 1996.

For 2002, Diamante came in two models – the ES and the LS. The base model ES is offered with high-level of standard equipment such as ABS with electronic brake distribution, remote keyless entry with panic function, windshield wipers that are speed-sensitive, six-speaker stereo, tilt steering and compact disc player. LS model received leather seating surfaces, woodgrain trim, steering with touch control and is wrapped with leather and memory as well as power for the driver’s seat.
