If we would talk about coupes classic coupes and the everlasting convertibles, the CLK-Class of Mercedes Benz will never be out of the topic. It's among the respected model that created coupes and convertibles as more than just plain medium-sized luxury vehicles, but remarkable ones. Since its birth in the industry in 1998 as predecessors of the E-Class, CLK molded a name that further strengthened the respect that Mercedes has already built within the customers and other automakers.

From the heritage and state-of-the-art-technology that DaimlerChrysler created, CLK-Class became noticeably great among the line-up of Mercedes models. The power and performance that CLK320, CLK430 and CLK55 AMG gave out from their very first release was then made present in the CLK500 as it was introduced. Mercedes Benz CLK500 joined the class during the second generation of the line-up in 2003 as coupe and cabriolet in 2004.

Boosted by the strength of 5.0-liter 24-valve SOHC V8 engine and efficiency of 5-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, CLK500 is competitive enough against other contemporary innovations. The engine kicks an impressive 302 horses at 5700 rpm and 221 pound per feet of torque at an rpm that can reach 3000 to 4600. It is a four-seat model with an interior pampered with desirable moldings, all-leather with burl walnut trim. All trims also come standard with tele aid emergency assistance system, automatic dual air conditioning, 10-way power front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, four side airbags and seven-channel digital surround sound. And in order to satisfy customers with more devices, lots of options were made available, including keyless go system, navigation system, paktronic system, and bi-xenon headlights. A 17-inch alloy wheels was exclusively available to the CLK500.

Not only does it provide great performance and desirable accessories and devices, it also has design that's uniquely crafted to fit the concept and taste of the target market. Its exterior is considerably sophisticated and the interior is elegant, emphasizing true European sense o fashion. Every detail harmoniously blends with every curve and corners, as well as lines of the body, and each accessory enhances the aesthetics.
