Maserati Bora is a two-seater coupe that is powered by a V8 engine on the amidships. This model is produced from 1971 to 1980, having a top speed of 166 mph. It is composed of a combination of steel monocoque chassis and body of a tubular steel subframe at the back for the engine and transmission. Shortly after the Citroen had a controlling interest in Maserati in 1968, a mid-engined two-seat supercar concept was proposed. The Bora was formerly known as the Tipo 117. It has got underway in October 1968 having a prototype on the road by the summer of 1969.
