Lexus LS400 The Lexus LS400 is the flagship automobile of the Lexus Motors when Toyota started their luxury division. Many car enthusiasts and analysts balked at the idea that a Japanese auto maker that specializes in economy cars and compact sedans would venture out in the big league. Lexus produced cars that would compete against the already established European luxury cars. But only after their release, everyone in the automotive industry changed the way they looked at the car and gave it the respect it so highly deserves. Soon enough, Lexus became the standard to which other cars would measure up to.

With Toyota's success in America with their compact sedans, they got the courage to introduce a relative newcomer to the luxury cars segment. With their expertise and experience in producing vehicles, Lexus was a cinch to dominate a market that is ruled by a selected few. The Lexus LS400 is the sedan that started it all for Lexus.

The Lexus LS400 had no distinguishing aspect in its design that could link it to Toyota. It was a different company that produced a different car. The LS400 was highly acclaimed for its quiet ride, luxurious interior, fantastic engine performance, affordability (for a luxury car) and over all value. Putting the force behind its wheels is an impressive 4.0 liters V8 engine. Released in 1990 in America, the first generation Lexus LS400 lasted until 2000 where it had three revisions an updates to make it cope up with the times.

The Lexus LS400 was upgraded soon after and was changed to the LS430 when it had an upgrade on its engine making it bigger and more powerful. Its exceptionally safe ride is popular with the people as well as its overall performance, handling and luxuriously designed interior. This is a luxury car that can take you from point A to point B in style.
