The Willys model started on post war years where Willys-Overland tried to broaden their market by returning to the vehicle and truck industry in addition to civilian military type jeeps. Their products were nothing like the smooth and graceful pre war vehicles. But this time, they have invested in making a vehicle that is tough and has a practical image such as jeep. The Willys jeep wagon (1946), the Willys jeep truck (1947) and the Willys Jeepster (1948) was three of the few models they have invested on.

Jeep Willys have retained the clear influence of the military type vehicle but with an additional body design that make it more modernized vehicle. The Willys jeep wagon is some what similar to the panel trucks which are sometime called as delivery wagons. What make it noticeable are its unique flat fenders that are also used on later models of 4 wheel drive vehicles. The Willys pickup truck was announced to the public in 1974 and it is been targeted for farmers and laborers. With two or four wheel drive versions, the jeep truck could bring heavy loads without any problem since the traction of the tires are very efficient.

The Jeep Willys pickup truck is the first jeep vehicle that is available in four wheel drive and the front end design is similar to a wagon type vehicle. The only difference of it in a wagon is its fenders which are flat which is influenced by military type vehicles. The Jeep Willys Jeepster was also similar to a military jeep but with a touch of a sports vehicle. This vehicle is available on two wheel drive was only made from 1948 until 1950 but it has been resurrected by the AMC in the early 1960’s. The Jeepster is a two door jeep vehicle that has a totally convertible soft roof top.
