There are vehicles that are great on the trails, yet not worth a darn at towing. There has to be a tow vehicle that is completely trail capable. This one will definitely allow the economy of a single vehicle for towing and wheeling or allow the luxury of having two capable trail rigs. Surely it would be very economical to have a vehicle that can perform both tasks. While a wide and long vehicle provides great stability for towing, this one has a big problem on the trail. And definitely you don’t want to compromise four-wheeling ability for towing ability, nor towing ability for trail ability. The perfect vehicle has got to be tough to perform both tasks.
Finally, the solution to this problem came about when the Jeep J Series was born. Specifically, the Jeep Series pickup appears to be capable of doing the tasks in a number of ways. Narrower than any pick up trucks made by other makes, the vehicle’s narrower instance positively helps on tight mountain trails while the low center of gravity provides good stability as a requirement for towing. Also, the fender’s generous room allows bigger tires with a moderate lift.
There’s no problem although the J series short bed truck has a 7 foot box as the overall length, which is a foot longer than the Big Three’s 6 foot box is very manageable. This is because the J series has a shorter front clip and cab. Other Jeep models are equipped with lighter trains and the one with the right options has durable drive-train components. Hence, the powertrain that is adequately capacitated to haul cargo and efficient on road stability will perfectly work with superior performance. Above all, the J series has that classic appeal and eternal beauty that is rare and distinct.
Talking about the body design, the J series remained its distinctive body art over the years, although there are subtle and sometimes important mechanical and structural changes made. The frames are redesigned to obtain strength. Likewise, the suspension is modified to enhance handling and ride. However, the attempt to lower emissions and increase the fuel economy brought engines strapped with emission control devices. The bulletproof drive trains such as the cast iron transmission and transfer cases were replaced with aluminum units.
As expected, Jeep will continue to create more innovations with each Jeep models to meet the requirements of the modern world.
