The front grilles are what identify the International Scout ii. The 1971 and 1972 Scout ii have three parallel bars and chrome rings around the headlight. Whereas the 1973 International Scout ii carries fourteen perpendicular bars in the headlight, the name "International" on the left side. In the last year of production of the Scout, the grille was made in one piece with square headlights, printed chrome trim in the headlight and the name "International" on the left side.

These features and many more has made International Scout ii a quality vehicle in the 70s.
