Geo Prizm Parts

General Motors have been producing cars with Toyota for more than a decade now, using the same body components and auto parts in their vehicles. The Geo Prism, marketed by GM from 1993 to 1997, is one of those vehicles shared by GM with Toyota. It was manufactured by New United Motors Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI), which is a joint venture of the two companies. It was introduced as the badge engineered version of the Toyota corolla, replacing the first Corolla-based GM auto, the Chevy Nova and the Isuzu-based Geo Spectrum.

Unlike the Corolla, the Geo Prizm was only available in one body style: four-door sedan. It was offered in two trims: the base model and the LSi. The Corolla was a bit restyled in the Prizm, which now sports a modern-looking and longer body style. The interior and trunk space are also expanded, providing more comfort and convenience to its users. Quite noticeable are the gray steel wheels on the base models and fine-looking alloy wheels with full wheel cover on the LSi trim. Similar to the Toyota car are its rounded body, snake-eye headlights and flush door handles.

Although produced to compete in the economy car market, the Geo vehicles were not utterly spartan, which the term "economy car" was commonly associated with. The Geo Prizm, for one, was more than its price. It comes with a long list of optional and standard features that include comfortable 60/40 split rear seats, CD player, dual airbags, daytime running lights, antilock brakes, sunroof and tilt steering wheel. And when it comes to handling attributes, you get the same satisfaction as what you get out of more expensive subcompact sedan cars.
