The Ford Deluxe was developed as an option to fill-in the gap between the standard Ford vehicles and the luxury vehicles of their Lincoln line. The name Deluxe was used to refer to several other models produced by the Ford Company, but this particular model is differentiated from the other types because of the different styling and pricing done to it.
The Ford Deluxe produced in 1938 was not bad to look at with its slightly sloping hood and another thing that makes it look really attractive is the heart-shaped grille which will be the first thing that you will notice. By 1939, this design was used on Ford’s standard line and the Ford Deluxe was incorporated with sharp v-shaped grilles that had vertical bars. The 1940 version of the Ford Deluxe was a rear wheel drive that had a steel unibody. Excellent and attractive exterior made it an eye-catcher during that time. It has a roomy interior that can accommodate up to 5 persons quite comfortably. Furthermore, it was outfitted with high quality engine that can pump up a good performance. With an S configuration, the 8-cylinder engine can produce 85 hp at 3800 rpm and a torque of 155 ft-lbs at 2200 rpm. With this kind of power you can drive comfortably on the road. This Ford model was only available with a 3-speed manual transmission.
