One of the European car manufacturers is that is known for quality car designs is the Fiat Group. Established in 1899 they have their base in Turin, Northern Italy. Their name is actually just an acronym which stands of for Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino which in English means Italian Car Factory of Turin. The Fiat 1500 models that were produced during the 1960’s were large family cars. This car is almost identical to another Fiat model, the Fiat 1300 however the notable difference between these two is their engine displacement. The Fiat 1500 is available as a 4-door sedan and station wagon. A convertible style was also made available for this Fiat 1500 model.
The Fiat 1500 was fitted with longitudinally, front-mounted engines that gives power to the rear axle. The 1500 engine was a 1481 cc that has a bore of 77 and strokes at 79.5mm. This engine is capable of producing 72 bhp at 52000 rpm. Only a 4-speed manual transmission was made available for the driver. Aside from the base Fiat 1500, other versions were created by the company such as the Fiat 1500L and the 1500 Taxi. These two variations are basically Fiat 1800 but the engine they have is that of the 1500. Another style derived from the Fiat 1500 is the TS or 1500TS. This can be distinguished from the original 1500 because of its very unique styling features. A 1500TS Coupe is another model that was produced using the 1500 as the basis.
