The Chevrolet Epica has an interesting history considering that it did not come from an original concept. To trace it down, the Epica was originally a Daewoo Magnus concept. Similarly, the Chevrolet Epica can also be referred to as Chevrolet Evanda or Daewoo Evanda and Suzuki Verona. It is mid-size sedan that measures 187.8 inches in length, 71.5 inches in width, 56.7 inches in height and 106.3 in wheelbase. It is based upon the internal Daewoo designation of V200 which is just an extensive development of the V100 Daewoo Leganza.

The production of the V100 was terminated in 2002 and the V200 Daewoo Evanda came as a replacement, which subsequently was significantly facelifted in 2006. In the meantime, the V200 was sold under Daewoo marque in Western Europe and under Chevrolet in some Eastern European countries. In 2004, the Daewoo marque was phased out leaving only the Chevrolet as the sole brand to sell Evanda.

Consequently, Evanda was rebadged as the Suzuki for North American market and Chevrolet Epica in other markets such as Canadian, Colombian and Chilean. In Canada, Epica came in two trims to which are the LS and the LT. It recently came to sport a 2.5 liter inline-6 engine, and driving the front wheels via an electronically operated four speed transmission. Although included in the luxury class, the Epica is still economical. It is equipped with 8-way power seat, 15-inch alloy wheels, 4-wheel disc brakes and other standard equipments.
