Chevy Colorado Parts

Chevrolet Colorado is outfitted with several big ideas on what it takes to be a midsize pickup. It is a clear demonstration of the fact that compact pick ups are no longer compact because they are now becoming spacious. Colorado was produced and released in 2003, replacing the Chevrolet S10 and GMC Sonoma. It offers 15 distinct models, all with roomy, well-appointed interiors – so you can pick the one that fits your taste. It is available in two wheelbases – the 11.3-inch wheelbase and the longer 125.9-inch wheelbase. Colorado comes in a regular cab, an extended cab and a crew cab configuration, each offers a choice of either four-wheel or two wheel drive.

Colorado also has sharp powerplants that perform the way you need them to such as an available Vortec 3500 I-5 engine that produces the horsepower of a V6 and with the fuel efficiency of a four-cylinder. Other available power sources are a 175-hp, 2.8-liter four-in-line and a 220-hp, 3.5-liter five-in-line. Like the six cylinder, these two new engines are outfitted with dual overhead cams, aluminum engine blocks, four valves per cylinder and variable exhaust-valve timing. A five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic is offered with either engine. To obtain some ride and handling benefits, the maximum towing capacity of Colorado has been reduced from 5900 to 4000 pounds.

A very attractive driving machine, Colorado Regular Cab is offered with analogue instrumentation including a tachometer and an engine temperature gauge; available leather-wrapped steering wheel and available in-dash six-disc. Regular Cab also comes with two seating options – the standard 60/40 reclining split bench seat or the optional high-back bucket seats with cloth seating surfaces. The Extended Cab affords enough room for five passengers and it gives a 6 ft long cargo box. For additional cargo room, the available fold-up rear jump seats can be folded flat into the floor. The Crew Cab on the other hand comes with ample room for six persons and its cozy interior offers front reclining high-back bucket seats with luxurious cloth seating surfaces and 60/40 split-folding rear seat.
