Chevrolet Caprice is the name given to a series of automobile produced by Chevrolet in the United States from the 1965 through 1996 model years. Based on the Chevrolet Impala, Caprice was initially produced as a hardtop 4-door sedan destined to be Ford LTD's rival. In the range of Chevrolet full-size car that included the Del Ray in 1958; the Bel Air from 1952 through 1976; Biscayne and Impala from 1958-1985, 1992-1996, 2000 to present, Caprice was the most costly model. This car was later on called Caprice Classic.

The Chevy Caprice edition that was released in 1991 model year received extensive restyling. The 1977-based squared-off design was replaced with more aerodynamic sheetmetal. The Caprice twice received the Motor Trend Car of the Year Award, in 1977 and 1991 model years and its 1983 edition was also included in Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best List.

The Chevrolet Caprice Classic Wagon is an automobile with heft and heritage. Designed primarily for older buyers, this car takes you back to the time when automobiles with plenty of power and room were the standard. It is offered in two models – the Classic and the Classic LS. Its sole powertrain is a Corvette engine, the Chevy LTI V8 mated with a 4-speed automatic. Caprice wagon is a well-appointed vehicle equipped with standard safety elements such as 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, dual airbags and other standard features like air conditioning, a tilt wheel, intermittent wipers, an AM/FM cassette sound system, rear wiper/washer, power locks and map pockets in the door panels. Today, all Caprices are dinosaurs that are rapidly fading from the scene. In its final year, 1996, Caprice was assembled to be Chevrolet's and General Motors' last rear-wheel drive, body-on-frame big cars. But there are many good reasons why we must give Caprice a last look. It provides more interior room that can't be found in smaller front-drive sedans today and they are far better suited for trailer towing.

Though the production of Chevrolet Caprice has been ceased, you won't find it hard to look for replacement in case its auto parts have been damaged or worn out.
