The Buick Limited is the production name used by the Buick Motor Division of the general Motors for referring to the models that have superior trim types together with its standard options. The model cars termed as Buick Limited were the only classics produced in 1931 to 1942 that were recognized as the most luxurious car manufactured by Buick. They also released another batch in 1958. However, before they used the term Buick Limited, the cars in this category were called the Series 90. This change in citation was brought on by the changes done in the models.
In the duration of Buick production they have yet to produce another line which is more expensive than the Limiteds. When you see a model of this car you will understand why it is the most expensive Buick car ever produced. The only cars that rest on 138” or 11.5 feet wheelbase, it is the longest on the record. Included in the Buick Limited are sedans and limousines. At the time of its production, no other model can compete with its weight of 4760 pounds. Adding to its excellence is the paintwork that was accomplished with superb chrome finish.
Appearance-wise, the Buick Limited cars exemplify magnificence. They have superior and unique bodywork that will really make people take notice. Its all-steel passenger compartment, better hydraulic braking system, front suspension, cooling system and alloy engine pistons makes it a sure winner. Its sleek lines and excellent mechanism makes the Limited a car to be reckoned with.
From the first stream of the Buick Limited in 1931- 1942, another batch came about in the 1958 model year. The new Buick Limited had upgrades done on it. It featured a lot of chrome and a custom designed Dynastar grille that contained 158 chrome squares to reflect the greatest amount of light. Revisions in the design also include the new quad headlights, V emblems, and a medallion on the hood and gun-sight fender toppers. Chrome panels were also added to the front panels and also near the tail lights. The company did not anymore use the name Limited after the 1958 model year but still used the trim for the Buick Electra 225 that replaced it.
