The Audi 90 vehicles were four-door sedans, which are loved for their stylish body and convenient and performance features. They were the upscale version of the Audi 80 vehicle, which were made since 1972. The Audi 90 belonged to the second generation Audi 80s (1978-1988) that had a B2 platform. It got a 5-cylinder engine and in 1983, a four-wheel drive. Introduced in 1993 was a newer version that had a bigger wheelbase and Audi 100’s bigger V6 engine. There were three versions were offered: the Audi 90 S, Audi 90 CS and the Audi 90 CS Quattro. All got a standard all-disc braking system and driver-side airbag.

Audi’s first convertible was introduced in 1994 as the Audi Cabriolet. This 4-seater convertible used the Audi 90’s platform; however, its wheelbase was 2.2 inches shorter. It came only in one trim level and an automatic transmission. All 1994 models feature a passenger-side airbag, leather upholstery and power tilt/slide sunroof and highly durable power top that tucks itself behind the back seat for the convertible. New to the 1995 entry-level models was an all wheel drive system and a Sport edition that featured a low and sport-oriented suspension and eye-catching 5-spoke alloy wheels.

Continuing Audi 90’s evolution, the 1996 models were again restyled. They boasted of more spacious interior and daring outside features. It was designated as the new Audi A4; however the Cabriolet remained, still carrying the old Audi 90 chassis. Great styling and dependability have always been attributed to these Audi vehicles. Like the manufacturer itself, Audi cars, have been seasoned by time and continuously went through changes to achieve excellence.

Later, he departed from the company that he himself had founded and created a new one, using the Latin translation of his name, Audi. Since 1928, the company had been through different owners, including JS Rasmussen, the owner of DKW. Later, it teamed up with the first Horch company, DKW and Wanderer. Today, it is part of the Volkswagen group yet its philosophy remains, “vorsprung technik,” that is, “advantage though technology.”
