If you’re thinking about replacing your own Isuzu windshield, make sure you know exactly what you’re doing before you begin.  After all, a seemingly minor issue, such as an imperfect seal could compromise the integrity of the entire windshield.  Remove all of the old sealant by scouring the surface with cleaning solvents and rags.  Don’t forget to leave about 1/16th of an inch of bonding behind.  Prime and clean the vehicle pitch-weld and new windshield.  Once everything has been dried thoroughly, it’s time to begin installation.  Many technicians wear glove to keep themselves from contaminating the glass.  You’re going to have to use an urethane adhesive for the installation.  Make sure you’ve read how long the adhesive needs to set before you can drive again.  Once you’ve installed the new windshield, it’s time to look over your work.  Make sure there are no gaps and that the glass is flush with the vehicle’s body.
