A small crack in your Daewoo windshield will develop into something larger if you don’t fix it quickly.  It is so dangerous to drive with a cracked windshield that in some states it is considered unlawful.  Even the smallest crack can spread quickly across your windshield.  A ping mark in the windshield has the potential to web out.  Driving with a crack or web crack can force the windshield to fall in on you.  Now, most windshields are shatter proof nowadays, but as you can imagine, even shatter proof glass can hurt you.  If you decide to replace your own windshield, make sure you know exactly what you’re doing before you begin.  It’s important to remove all of the old sealant from the vehicle and to scour the surface thoroughly.  Leave at least 1/16th of an inch of bonding surface behind.  After cleaning, dry the surface completely before installing the new windshield.
