Chrysler Weatherstripping

Leaky windows or a leaky trunk may be an indication that your Chrysler weather stripping needs to be replaced.  Examine your weather stripping by rolling down your windows and opening your trunk.  Search for cracked, brittle, or missing weather stripping.  If you’ve determined that the weather stripping is in poor condition, it will need to be replaced.  Replacing your own weather stripping saves lots of money in labor fees, but it must be done correctly.  Use plenty of cleaning solvents and rags to rid your vehicle of any old weather stripping and adhesive.  Failing to completely remove all of the old weather stripping and adhesive will result in a poor installation that you may be required to redo.  It might be a good idea to wait for a warm day to install your new weather stripping.  It’s been said that the warmer weather helps the adhesive to stick to the surfaces better.
