Buick Weatherstrip |
| Leaky windows and whistling winds while you’ve got your windows up are a sure
sign that your Buick weather stripping is failing. To assess the condition of
your weather stripping, simply open your doors, windows, and pop the trunk. Look
for cracked, brittle, broken, or missing weather stripping. If your weather stripping
shows any of those signs of decay, it’s a great time to replace it. If the rain
and wind isn’t getting in yet, it’s only a matter of time before it does if you
ignore your deteriorating weather stripping. The most important thing to remember
when you remove your old weather stripping is to not just tear it off and throw
the new stripping on. The weather stripping should be removed carefully and the
area should be cleaned thoroughly with solvents and rags. Make sure the area
is completely clean before installing your new weather stripping. Failing to
do so may result in a breached seal in which case, you will have to go back and
start all over again. |
