Honda Accord - Water Pump
There have been a few comments re the gasket packed with the Paraut version of this pump being of a softer density than the OE gasket. Tests by Atsugi (Paraut's parent company) have not shown any problems, but they advise that that torquing the attaching bolts to the proper spec is critical on this application for proper sealing. For those who prefer a different gasket, we also offer #19222-PT0-300 (made by Ohtsuka, the OE supplier), which can be ordered separately.

O-ring #91314-PH7-003 is also required but is not included with this water pump (order separately). There have been a few comments re the gasket packed with the Paraut version of this pump being of a softer density than the OE gasket. California made in USA Honda made a change from cast impeller (pump #19210-PD2-515) to stamped impeller (pump #19210-PD6-515) in 1984 for Accords and in 1985 for Preludes but does not interchange the two pumps. Atsugi and GMB have tested the two designs and have found the performance differences to be negligible. Because of this, Atsugi and GMB no longer offer a pump with a cast impeller for the earlier application and advise that their stanped-impeller pump is a suitable replacement for either OE pump.
