Have you recently noticed a constant leaking of oil from under your Suzuki vehicle? Have you tried going under your auto just to check where that leaking is coming from? Having that kind of problem is really frustrating, and it is understandable that you really want to get rid of this mess. However, the question that still needs to be addressed is, where do you begin?

What you are experiencing is an oil spill, and your Suzuki valve cover is among the components that you need to inspect. Basically, there are two types of oil spills in vehicles: the seep and the leak. The seep is the slow seepage of oil that does not produce a drip, while a leak is that spill that causes the oil to drip when your auto is parked. A leak can then produce a puddle of oil on the pavement and will continue to drip while your Suzuki is being driven. Having seepage does not necessarily mean that you need to have your vehicle repaired, but the occurrence of a leak requires your immediate attention. You need to have the leak inspected since an unattended leak may spell internal engine damage.

The leak may be attributed to your vehicle’s valve cover. As its name implies, the valve cover serves as the covering of your auto’s valve train. This can be removed to adjust the valves. Underneath the cover, oil is then dispersed after being pushed up through the push rods. This will ensure that the rocker arms are lubricated. There are holes located in various places in the engine head so that the oil circulates back down to the oil pan. Because of its important role, the valve cover should always be oil tight. However, be sure that the valve screws are not over-tightened. Over-tightening of the cover will cause it to bend at some point and get distorted, resulting to oil spills. Because of this, the best course of action for you is to always check on your valve cover so that you can avoid any inconvenience.

The corroding and the warping of your valve cover are some of the problems that you must look out for. However, if you really think that you need to have a valve cover replacement, then get one right away. Shopping for your next Suzuki valve cover is easy. Shop at Parts Train for your Suzuki valve cover and other performance parts and accessories needs, and say goodbye to pesky oil spills!
