Jeep Liberty Towing Mirrors |
Mirrors are not only good for grooming; they are also important features for your vehicles. As you all know, mirrors are objects which have a surface that has a good specular reflection; meaning it reflects undiffused light to form an image of anything that is placed in front of it. So, if you have one on your vehicle, it will serve as an extra means of seeing everything that is around you without having to turn your head. There are several mirrors in your vehicle serving the same purpose but each has its own specific role depending on their location.
The side view mirrors are located on the right and left side of the vehicle and are used to see the vehicles on each side and behind especially when you need to change direction, lanes, backing your car, parking your car and overtaking where you need to see not only the car you are going to pass but also oncoming cars. The rear view mirror located at the center above your dash is used to monitor the vehicles directly behind you.
The third set of mirror is the set that is not a stock mirror but designed for one purpose only, and that is for towing and hauling. For towing purposes, the side view and rear view mirror are not enough to monitor what is going on with their towed or hauled stuffs. The towing mirror is used to provide wider range of visibility especially when towing. The towing mirrors are expected to give a better viewing angle on the stuff’s that you have towed without having to stop and look at it, or turning your head every now and then to confirm that your stuffs being towed are still there. These towing mirrors eliminate blind spot problem in your vehicle so you can do your towing job safely.
The side mirrors are not the same but have their own particularities that you have to remember when replacing. Some mirrors are electric meaning it uses a switch while others are manual meaning you have to move it to change the position. There are heated and non-heated mirrors, mirrors with memory and others. For each one, the numbers of wires involve changes so it is important to know the specifics of your very own side mirror. There are also telescopic which can be extended outward six inches for towing.
