In driving, timing is important. This is the reason why your Geo timing belt

There are no certain signs if your Geo timing belt has worn out. Normally, timing
belts last from around 60,000 to 100,000 miles. Replacing it at recommended intervals
will reduce the chance that it will break down before it is changed. The recommended
timing belt replacement should be done at 60,000. If you neglect this major overhaul,
you risk being stranded because of a bad timing belt. Worst, if the timing belt
stops working completely, your engine will not function and your car will become
inoperable.
When you are to change your timing belt, it is also recommended that you replace
your car’s water pump at the same time even if there’s no obvious damage on it.
Changing the water pump is not mandatory, but it could pay off in the long run.
If the time comes that your water pump needs to be replaced, your car mechanic
would have to go through same procedures again, so it’s only wise to replace the
water pump and timing belt all at once.
