The original bolt may only allow contact with a few of the threads, and this may not be sufficient to adequately hold this tensioner in place. If required, the longer bolt will allow full thread contact and a more secure mounting. Please check for this situation before torquing the mounting bolt to the recommended spec. Roller & Bracket The newest version of this part may have a "thicker" mounting flange which may require the use of a longer bolt.
