Kia Tie Rod

The Kia tie rod is a long metal part of the vehicle’ steering system that basically connects the key parts of the steering mechanism together. The main purpose of the tie rod is to transmit the torque or force from the steering center link or the rack and pinion unit to the steering knuckle, which in turn enables the wheels to move either left or right depending on the movement of the steering wheel. Both tie rods connected to the steering knuckle possesses an adjusting sleeve that basically allows the whole length of the tie rod to be adjustable, so to respond according to the direction of the steering wheel.
