Your car can still run even with the absence of some of its parts but you surely wouldn't take the risk of driving it if you know that it has faulty or damaged suspension. The portion that connects the wheels to the body of the vehicle and controls handling and ride quality is called suspension. It is usually made up of coil springs or leaf springs, shock absorbers or struts, anti-sway bars and a system of connections or linkages including control arms, 4-links or trailing arms and torsion bars.

The vehicle's suspension system has two very important functions – to keep the car's wheels connected to the road and to give a comfortable ride to vehicle occupants. Suspension provides a comfy ride by absorbing or isolating road shocks from the passenger's cabin. It gives better handling by keeping the tires in firm contact with the ground, maximizing the friction between the tires and road and thus affects the car's ability to steer, brake and accelerate. Suspension also enhances the vehicle's ability to travel in a curved lane by minimizing body roll.

Your car's suspension is actually a part of the chassis and lots of its work is done by the springs. The coil spring is the most popular type of suspension spring. It is a heavy-duty torsion bar coiled around its axis and it takes in the motion of the wheels by compressing and expanding. Leaf springs are another type of spring made up of several layers of metal joined together to work as a single unit.

Volkswagen cars are among those that come with a superb chassis. As the largest car manufacturer in Europe, Volkswagen upholds its sound reputation by providing the industry with vehicles that have good handling and outstanding ride quality. But no matter how good Volkswagen suspensions are, they eventually wear out as time pass by.

In such case, there's nothing to worry about. Parts Train is here to give you unsurpassed quality Volkswagen suspension. Just come to us anytime, we have a very up-to-date stock that carries all kinds of Volkswagen suspension for any Volkswagen model.
