Dodge Side Marker Lights |
With so many vehicle lights to take care of, we often forget to give particular attention to the small lights mounted on the sides of our vehicles. These are the side marker lights. And while they are small and seemingly unimportant, the side marker lights play an important role in every vehicle. This function is not apparent for small vehicles, but for fairly large and long vehicles, the side marker lights are extremely important.
Almost every auto light installed in a vehicle has a safety purpose, and the side marker lights are nothing different. The side marker lights allow your vehicle to be easily seen from the side at night and during low visibility conditions, whether your vehicle is running or it is parked at the side of the street. For large and longer vehicles, in particular, the side marker lights are used to give a hint of how long the vehicle really is when they are seen at night. That’s why there are strict regulations on the type, assembly, shape, and color of side marker lights that must be used for large and long vehicles.
For passenger vehicles like Dodge cars, SUVs, trucks and vans, there exist little restrictions and regulations, so practically any kind of side marker lights can be used. It is required, however, that they still be equipped with side marker lights and some states prohibits the use of European side marker lights and Altezza side marker lights. All Dodge vehicles are equipped with front-end Dodge side marker lights, while some other Dodge models also come with rear-end side marker lights. These lights are guaranteed to be all street-legal.
