Triumph Shock Absorber

Comfort, safety, and pleasure – that is what most of us look for in a ride. No one would want to experience excessive pulsations when driving through rugged and rough terrains. That can be a major source of a frustrating ride. Good thing car experts have designed a component that can help keep unnecessary vibrations away – that is the shock absorber. A good set of shock absorber is vital especially if you own a Triumph vehicle. The superior look and performance of Triumph cars needs good shocks to complete its incomparable quality. With high grade and functional shocks, you can expect your Triumph to offer a comfortable drive for thousands of miles.

The main purpose of shock absorbers is to dampen the oscillation of the spring. Shock absorbers are basically a combination of two things – suspension and damping. The suspension can be a mechanical spring that allows the wheel to bounce up efficiently. The damper can be a piston moving in an oil-filled cylinder that keeps the car from bouncing excessively. Although called as shock absorbers, it is the spring that absorbs and controls road shock and car weight transfer and not the shocks. The only job of the shock is to control the speed that is transferred to the car and the rate as to how quickly the wheel settles back on the road after hitting a bump.

Hydraulic pressure is used by the shock in dampening the oscillation of the spring. Oil is forced through the valves to be able to resist the spring’s movement and absorb the bounce. The amount and velocity of oil passed through the piston determines the dampening ability of the shock. Because the shock absorber has to dampen the movement of the chassis and the wheel at different rate, it is vital that the shocks are manufactured with the correct valve. Comfort and performance are the factors considered in shock production. While some shocks are valved for comfort, others are firmer and more performance oriented.

Remember that the spring rate is the most significant thing in altering a suspension's handling characteristics. The shock is merely a fine-tuning tool. But just the same, keeping your shock absorber in good shape can ensure you a comfortable ride for miles and miles of driving application. As soon as you notice excessive pulsation while driving, you better check on your shock absorbers. They could be worn out and needing replacement. Delaying replacement is wrong economy that could cause you thousands more of repair expense in the long run. So replace a worn out shock absorber right away. Parts Train offers high grade and genuine Triumph shock absorber that will suit best with your car. We carry reliable shock absorbers straight from world class manufacturers.
