Cars have either sealed beam headlights or replaceable bulbs. Sealed beam headlights are headlights whose lens, reflectors and filament are sealed together as a single unit. Virtually every vehicle on the road, from the tiniest subcompacts to eighteen-wheel tractor-trailers use standard, round, sealed-beam headlamp units. There were only three distinct models, for two-lamp and four-lamp systems.
