There are three basic types of headlights used on automobiles today: standard sealed beam, halogen sealed beam, and composite. Sealed beams come in round and rectangular varieties. Sealed beam headlights are usually found on older cars. But today, most of the cars on the road use a sealed beam headlight. They are the kind of headlights whose lens, reflectors and filament are tightly sealed together as a single unit while composite headlights have all of these components as separate units.
