Acura Radiator Supports

A radiator support like the Acura radiator support is a bar that runs along the front of the vehicle and is attached to the fenders. Its basic function is to act as a bracket that will prop up the radiator assembly. Aside from which, the radiator support is found right behind the radiator grille to strategically connect the mud guard skirts at their front edge while carrying the radiator at the same time. A radiator support is in fact an assembly comprised of nine major components. Some of these components are the upper tie bar (radiator support upper, side support panel (radiator support RH or LH), hood latch support (radiator support center), and the lower crossmember (radiator support lower).

Modern radiator supports feature a two-sheet molding composite structure bolted together to support not just the radiator but also the headlight assembly, grille panel, hood latch mounting and hood bumper support. It is divided into upper and lower portions. The upper radiator support is mounted to the front fenders while the lower radiator support is fastened into the front-end cooling assembly. This kind of radiator support has the ability to lessen weight and space in the engine compartment, and to reduce the production cost as well.
