Honda CR-V Radiators

The engine of your Honda CR-V has many moving parts on it that are constantly in motion every time your vehicle is running. Any movement of these parts creates friction in which it also produces heat as the two surfaces are being rubbed together. It is a fact that the engine oil that is being pumped into the engine lessens the production of friction by lubricating these moving parts. However, it only decreases the friction and not totally eliminates it and the engine oil is somewhat insufficient to overcome tremendous heat that is generated by the engine.

In order to counter the heat problem on the engine, the radiator is being used. The Honda CR-V radiator is a heat exchanging device that supplies the engine with a liquid in the form of coolant (mixture of water and anti freeze agent). This liquid coolant keeps the engine cool by getting rid of the excess heat through the process that is called radiation. The Honda CR-V radiator is specifically designed to lower down the heat of your engine by using the liquid coolant in which it absorbs most of it and bring it away from the engine.

The Honda CR-V radiator is filled with aluminum tubes that are precisely bent in order to make a frame like shape. The tube is where the coolant passes through and transfers the heat from the coolant to the tubes before it flows again inside the engine. Since the aluminum tubes are being heated by the hot coolant, the air that is flowing on the front end of the vehicle (grille) is used to dissipate the heat into the atmosphere in a much higher rate. When the vehicle is on halt and the engine is still in operation, a cooling fan is utilized in order to continue the cooling process on the radiator.

A radiator for Honda CR-V does not contain any electronic parts; however, it uses the functionality of the water pump in order to release its liquid coolant from its metal tubes. The engine coolant does not have to be especially cool in order to be effective, its temperature must just be lower than the engine’s maximum temperature in order to be effective. The radiator of your vehicle needs to be well maintained to get the optimum performance of your engine. Its aluminum tubes must be always inspected for puncture or any blockage.

If you are considering in replacing your stock and old radiator, then Parts Train can help you. Our online catalog has the widest selection of Honda CR-V radiators including other parts and accessories that you might need to maintain or enhance the performance of your vehicle.
