What can a Swedish luxury vehicle manufacturing company offer the world that has not yet been offered by the leading luxury vehicle brands like Mercedes Benz, BMW, Cadillac, Infiniti and the others? Volvo clearly states it as "safety". Ever since the 1950s, Volvo Cars has been known to introduce a lot of innovations that make the vehicles they manufacture safer than other luxury vehicle brands. Among the innovations created by Volvo are the three-point seatbelts, the use of a laminated glass in the body panel, the creation of the 'safety cage' and the 'crumple zones', and a lot of others.
But safety is not just about the gears that can protect you during collisions, and Volvo is well aware of that. That's why Volvo has equipped their vehicles with components that can keep them away from collision and accidents. Among the many safety components that Volvo vehicles have are the auto lights. Volvo vehicles are not only equipped with the major auto lights like headlights, turn signals, brake lights, and fog lights, but also with those small vehicle lights that are considered by many as unimportant, like the Volvo parking lights.
Parking lights are low beam lights installed at the front end of the vehicle, sometimes as an integrated component of the headlights and sometimes as separate components. Some vehicles are also equipped with rear or tail end parking lights. Both parking lamps are designed to light up whenever your vehicle is parked, illuminating it and making it visible for others to see especially at night.
The parking lamps were once the only components that keeps vehicles illuminated while parked, but today a lot of other components can keep it illuminated. Aside from the parking lights, almost all vehicles today are equipped with side marker lights and other markers that illuminate them all the time. This makes people think that parking lamps are no longer needed and are no longer essential safety components. However, one will find the parking lamps especially useful when their vehicles are parked on the highway at night, where there are only a few or no streetlights. With parking lamps, vehicles are better illuminated and other vehicles are warned better of their presence.
While most of us think that the parking lights are not important, many State laws say otherwise. So whether you like them or not, you are obliged, in one way or another, to equip your vehicle with properly working corner lights. Here at Parts Train, we have Saturn parking lamp assemblies that you can use to replace a worn out stock Saturn parking light. We also have Saturn parking light components offered separately, like bulbs, lenses and others, in case you only need to replace some of its components.
