Another type of BMW 3 series mirror is the side mirror that is found on both side of the vehicle and is securely mounted on the front doors of the vehicle. The side view mirror is also called as a wing mirror is purposely held on the side of the vehicle to help the driver to see either the left or right rear traffic of the vehicle. On later BMW 3 series models, the side mirror is being adjusted manually meaning that you must reach out through the door window in order to change the setting of the mirror. However, newer BMW 3 series vehicles are power operated and just a single push of button allows you to alter its setting according to your preferences.
Since the side view mirror is located outside the vehicle, it is susceptible to any damages and is commonly broken in accident.
