The excitement and thrill you experience every time you ride a Mazda is the outcome of the state-of-the-art technological engineering of the vehicle. The engine is the equipment that’s responsible of giving drivers and passengers such kind of pleasurable trip. But the engine alone cannot do all the duties. It apparently needs the support of integrated Mazda auto parts which comprise the intricate systems of all auto components, from the basic aspects until the additional performance and aesthetic boosters.

In the operation of the Mazda engine several systems take care of their specific jobs. If there is a device that’s responsible for the proper discharging of waste materials called exhaust manifold or header, there is also an instrument that acts as its counterpart, the intake manifold. Mazda intake manifold is an engine part, a system of passages that supplies fuel and or air to the cylinders through runner ports. Intake manifold is also known as inlet manifold in the induction system. The air that enters the cylinder is then mixed with the fuel. Subsequently the mixture is being utilized in the combustion process and ultimately in power generation. To ensure more efficient engine operation, with smooth and even performance, the Mazda intake manifold should charge the cylinders with the same strength and quality. In a Mazda that features multi point injected engines, the intake manifold also carry the task of holding the fuel injectors.

The quality of Mazda intake manifold is seen through the overall performance of the vehicle which actually depends on their design. Fuel charge is one component that varies due to differences. Dry fuel vapor is an ideal form of fuel charge. In modern Mazda designs, fuel charge efficiently works only with high temperature because most fuel nowadays prevents that kind of fuel reaction. The problem then rests on the effect of too high temperature that’s capable of reducing the power of the engine with the heat-expanded fuel charge. The solution to this is by depositing some fuel on the walls of the cylinders and manifold vents from which modern designs of Mazda intake manifolds are based. The result is reduction of condensed fuel to a minimum amount.

Mazda intake manifolds carry different designs which definitely are applicable for specific engine type. There are tunnel ram, cross ram, open plenum, divided single plane, single plane with partial divider plate and isolated runner intake manifold. Due to their differences, Mazda intake manifolds are also placed in no same locations. V8 engines mount their intake manifolds between the cylinder heads. Others are found between the carburetor and the cylinder head. L-head engines have their intake manifolds integrated to the side of the block, while I-head manifolds are typically bolted to the cylinder heads. Their locations affect the effectiveness of the operation as well.
