It is nighttime and the highway is empty. Little pinpoints of light from the
city deck the darkness while those from lamps lining the road illuminate the freeway.
A Dodge is seen running at moderate speed along the street, its hood glistening
in the night. It stays at the right lane, confident that it is treading the right
path.
Out of nowhere, another vehicle appears. It swerves a bit while running and looks
as if it is being chased by a bunch of wild animals right out of a stampede. Seeing
that the road is his, its driver speeds up even more as the vehicle goes further.
Soon it appears right behind the Dodge which is still traveling peacefully and
lightly, minding its own business on the street. The other vehicle does not slow
down and instead tries to overtake the Dodge, which it actually does at full speed,
only to slam at another car running ahead of the Dodge. It springs back with full
force, crashing against the Dodge behind it.
After the mishap, after each and every car is towed away from the freeway, after
everything is cleaned up, the three vehicles are poked and prodded upon by authorities.
The car running ahead of the Dodge has damage all over its rear where the speeding
overtaker hit it. The overtaker, whose front end is the one that collided against
the former, is almost beyond recognition. Its hood is crumpled like paper and
its engine is damaged tremendously. It is as if someone used a mallet to bludgeon
it to death.
The Dodge? It is not surprising to find it with scratches all over its front
end – but the hood has no major damages and do not even have dents. The engine
sleeps beneath it, peaceful as a child’s dreamless slumber under a snug comforter
. . .
This is what happens when Dodge hoods are employed in Dodge vehicles – they keep
the engine safe by shielding it. With the tough structure they are composed of,
they do a great job in making sure that the engine stays secure whatever happens.
They make Dodge models look absolutely great while guarding Dodge engines from
whatever misfortune that they might meet.
Dodge hoods are manufactured only to match Dodge cars - they are made to complement
one another. And while these hoods serve both as roofs and doors that do their
function for the Dodge to perform at its best, they also give the Dodge the look
that says it is a Dodge model – nothing more, nothing less.
