Saab headlight housing is not only a protective component of the headlight; it is also a functional component that enhances the performance of the headlight. The headlight housing contains the parabolic reflectors and holds the headlight lens securely in place. Both the headlight lens and reflectors enhance and focus the light beam in certain ways to optimize luminosity. High-quality reflectors and lenses provide better illumination of the road, thereby preventing potential accidents. Headlight lamps are typically of two types contained in one headlight housing.

The first type of headlight lamp is the high beam headlight, which is used during high-speed driving. It is intended to illuminate greater distance ahead of the car to enable the driver to immediately see obstacles ahead of the car and make appropriate adjustments in speed. High beam lamps have high-intensity light that can penetrate fog mists or heavy rain, allowing the driver to see more clearly during low-visibility situations. Conversely, the vehicle will also be highly visible because of the high-intensity light. On the other hand, low beam headlight is commonly used during low-speed driving or while driving in urban areas. Low beam headlight reduces the glare that may interfere with the spatial judgment of the motorist in the other lane. Low beam light is focused on within the immediate vicinity of the car and below the visual field of other motorists.

Both high beam and low beam headlights are automatically adjusted depending on the speed of the vehicle. However, they can also be manually operated when the need arises. In some car models, there is only one headlight lamp for the individual headlight housing. Low beam and high beam lights can be alternately switched on by simply adjusting the angle of the reflectors inside the headlight housing. The Saab headlight housing protects two separate headlight lamps for low beam light and high beam light. The parabolic reflectors inside intensify the light beams several times. On the other hand, the headlight lenses increase the area of coverage of the headlight lamps by spreading the light in certain lens regions.

Saab motor company was originally a Swedish airplane company that diversified into automotive manufacturing. It is now a subsidiary of General Motors. Hence, it is not surprising why Saab components, including the headlight housing, are superbly engineered. If the original headlight housing of your Saab vehicle becomes busted, you should replace it with equally reliable aftermarket headlight housing. You can find a wide selection of high-quality headlight housings here at Part Train. We offer aftermarket automotive products that are at par with the original components. Simply place your order online and the product will be conveniently delivered to your address.
